What is Cryptathon?

Cryptathon is a free crypto paper trading app for Android, built on Minute Exchange. Use it as a crypto trading simulator: practise Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) perpetual futures with virtual money, track your positions and compete in free-entry tournaments. The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

What is crypto paper trading?

Crypto paper trading means practising trades with a virtual balance instead of real money. In Cryptathon, you place orders, follow positions and see how funding and liquidations affect your virtual balance. Practice results do not predict results when trading with real money. What can I practise in Cryptathon?

Market and limit orders on a live order book, long and short positions, leverage, margin, funding and liquidation, and take-profit and stop-loss orders. You can also read the order book and mark price, follow your profit or loss in real time and review your trade history.

Does Cryptathon trade real cryptocurrency?

No real crypto is bought or sold. Your practice orders enter the Minute Exchange matching engine and fill against market makers and other players. Prices, order fills, funding and liquidations follow the exchange, but your balance is always virtual.

Do I need to know anything about crypto?

Curiosity is enough to start. Practice with a virtual balance, get familiar with placing orders, and learn from the results. Already trade? Use the same markets to try out a different strategy.

Is Cryptathon free to play?

Yes. Cryptathon is free to download and play. You can practise trading and join tournaments without a deposit or purchase. Tournaments have no paid entry, and all balances and prizes are virtual.

Can I win or withdraw real money?

No. Balances and tournament prizes are virtual. Virtual money can never be withdrawn, redeemed for real money, or transferred to another player. You're playing for practice and bragging rights.

What happens if I lose my play money?

You can use the bankruptcy reset to start again with a virtual balance. Take what you learned into your next trade without risking your savings.
